#45: Vileplume - Grass Poison Type

[PokeDex Entry]

The Flower Pokémon

  • Gold: It has the world's largest petals. With every step, the petals shake out heavy clouds of toxic pollen.

Red: The larger its petals, the more toxic pollen it contains. Its big head is heavy and hard to hold up.

Yellow: Flaps its broad flower petals to scatter its poisonous pollen. The flapping sound is very loud.

Prof. Lotus' Notes: Vileplume is based on the plant Rafflesia arnoldii a.k.a. the 'Stinking Corpse lily'. The plant got it's name because it smells like rotting flesh. This is the final stage of the Parasite as it has now fully integrated itself with the host Oddish, the evolution line where the inverse is true is Bellossom.

Gender Differences: Female's petals have larger spots
